Classy Dates on a Budget
There are all different types of loans: loans for cars, for school, and even for emergencies. However, unless you can hit up a friend or family member for money, there aren’t any loans for dates. Don’t worry because although entertainment is expensive, you can still have some classy dates without spending a fortune.
Art
Do you have an art lover you are trying to impress? Spend some time at an art museum. If your city has an art district with lots of galleries, that can also make a fabulous way to spend an evening. Museums and galleries tend to be free and are great conversation starters.
Parks
Nature lovers make perfect picnic dates. You not only get a chance to see a little of the natural world, but you can show off some of your cooking skills, too. Depending on whether your date likes to hike or not, you can make it an easy stroll through a local park or a more adventuresome hike that might require backpacks, instead of a picnic basket.
Dances
Go for the more classic dances like Swing or ballroom dancing. Many clubs in different cities try to attract new dancers by having a free class before an actual dance event. You can go and learn a few steps and decide whether you want to stay for the dance or not. There may be a slight entrance fee, but it’s nowhere near the amount of money you might spend for dinner and drinks at a fancy restaurant.
Dinner at Home
Are you a gourmet chef or close to it? Why not invite your date to your house and serve them a meal to remember? It costs far less to cook at home and your date will be impressed by the level of effort and thought you put into the evening.

Before you can even start to think about all the great fashion creations that you want to design, you have to put your business owner hat on and get your fundamentals right. You should know what your business cash options are for funding the business or getting emergency cash when needed. You also need to develop a good business plan, to think through your niche and how you plan to market your fashion designs. You’ll want to pick a good location, but one that is affordable. You’ll also have to locate vendors and suppliers to keep your equipment in operating order and your shelves stocked with fabrics.
Money
Most businesses don’t become profitable until after a few years. During that time, there is a great deal of capital investment that needs to come from somewhere. A fashion business owner will have to figure out how to fund purchases of equipment and fabrics, long before even a single item has been sold. They will need to know how to get the best rates and where to go when credit lines are tight or an emergency arises.
Business Plan
A fashion business owner has to understand fashion trends and how to market their wares. They should have access to fashion-conscious customers and know what price point they are trying to meet. They should have a clear idea about their demographics and the risks associated with their business.
Location
This is highly important for a fashion business, if you plan to open a storefront. Fashion customers want to be able to touch and try on the items before they buy. However, they have to actually walk into the store to do that so location is very important. There are other ways of setting up a retail store, but size is so important that you have to find ways for customers to get a virtual fit without actually trying an item on.
Vendors and Suppliers
Find vendors and suppliers that you can trust, who can deliver what they promise. If you work with the same businesses for a long time, you can actually end up establishing a credit relationship, which is helpful when conventional credit is tight.
